In this video Daarken talks about invoicing as a freelance artist and how to use the program Billings. Unfortunately Billings is only for the Mac, so PC users will have to try and find another invoicing program.

Thanks a lot for the introduction. Was never a fan of writing things down on paper. Too much chaos after a while, at least for me :)

Freshbooks is a great web based invoice service…much more versatile but costs a few bucks a month if you are juggling over 3 clients at a time.

how much can you make off freelancing? could you make upwards of 50$ hour easily with 10 years exp? What are some rates you guys have encountered? Anyone have any info on it?

  It really depends on your ability, the client, and the project. Yes you could easily make upwards of $50/hour.

awesome Stuff! i’ve been exploring your site like a child in a candy store! great info. i’d love to see more video’s about freelancing, like how to find/deal with clients and such, or samples of what contracts looks like, and some info on copyrighting your work even if it’s for a client. i’m very interested in these topics ^^.
