Desktop or laptop?
If you plan to work with 3D and motion-design, we strongly recommend choosing a desktop computer (more about its requirements below). The reasons for this are as follows:
Price to performance ratio. The main advantage of a laptop compared to a desktop computer – mobility. But for this you will have to overpay: laptop is always more expensive than a computer with similar characteristics. Choose it only if you need the ability to work from different locations.
Practicality. Compared with graphic and UX/UI design, motion design is very demanding on the computer hardware. The more complex the task, the more difficult it is to do not only you, but also the computer. A desktop computer is easy to improve, there are almost no problems with component replacements, but laptops often do not have this opportunity.
If you are engaged in graphic design, to work for you will be enough notebook mid-price segment. Of course, the more powerful the computer, the better.
System requirements for the editors can always be found on their official websites. So, for the package Adobe they can be viewed at these links:

This section contains recommendations for those who are going to do 3D and motion design. However, for designers in other areas, they will be useful. The more powerful your computer, the easier and more comfortable the process of work.
A common mistake when building a computer is to choose a monitor on the principle of “it will do”. But design is a visual art. You can’t have one picture on your screen and it’s a completely different picture on a sign or another person’s screen because your screen has only partial sRGB color coverage. Always look at the “Color Coverage” characteristic when choosing a laptop or monitor. It should be strictly sRGB=100% or more, but never less and the type of matrix should be IPS.
Notebook is not a good solution for motion designer, and you should use it only if you need mobility and compactness.
Choosing a laptop, be aware that you will overpay about 50% of the cost just for the ability to carry a computer with you, and not for performance, durability and practicality.
If you are a graphic, UI or UX designer, you can safely look towards laptops. You don’t need big power and expensive hardware to actively grow in your field.
The choice of components for a desktop or laptop is a very important, sometimes painstaking case, it should be taken as seriously as possible, you need to thoroughly recheck everything before buying.
Always, always, always, always check the system requirements of the software you are using and compare them to your computer.
